This is a padlet of resources on transitions from preschool to primary school with some tips and suggestions for the coming year.

Hi everyone! 

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your summer holidays. The following are the lists of what you will need for the coming school year. We are looking forward to seeing you all. 

 

5^th & 6^th  classes

The children will need the following for September:-

• 5 x120 page Copies
• 2 X Maths A4 boxed copies Maths (children need a special boxed Maths A4 copy, available in school if you have trouble sourcing it locally)
• Hard backed notebook

Please label the copies as follows:-

• English
• Gaeilge
• History
• Geography & Science
• Spare copy

Please cover each copy.

The children also need

• Pencil case
• 2 pencils
• Colours – no markers please
• 2 biros red+ blue
• Geometry Set containing a good compass and full face protractor
• Ruler
• Rubber (white rubbers are the best)
• Topper
• An A4 display folder (80 pockets)
• An A4 display folder for religion (40 pockets)
• Pritt stick for Art
• A “D” Tin whistle- these can be purchased in school for €8
• Calculator
• Thesaurus
• English Dictionary
• Irish Dictionary

Please make sure that all of your child’s belongings including the items in their pencil case and their uniform jumper etc. are clearly labelled. There will be no sharing of belongings allowed this year so please ensure that your child is aware of this. Really looking forward to seeing you all in September, have a great summer!

2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th and ASD Class 2020

The children will need the following for September:-

7 x88 page Copies

Please label the copies as follows:-

• English
• Gaeilge
• Maths (a normal lined copy- they do not need a special boxed Maths copy)
• SESE
• Creative Writing
• Spare copy
• Spelling test

Please cover each copy.

The children also need

• Pencil case
• 2 pencils
• 2 biros red+ blue
• Ruler (longer rulers 30cm are best)
• Rubber (white rubbers are the best)
• Topper
• An A4 display folder (40 pockets)
• An A4 display folder for religion (20 pockets)
• Art portfolio folder to be kept in school
• Pritt stick
• Colouring pencils or crayons
• A “D” Tin whistle- these can be purchased in school for €8

First Class September 2020

Your child will need the following items for the coming school year, 2020/2021

• 2 blue Ormond Project (Blue copy, Space and Lines)copies covered with (plastic copy covers)
• 4 lined copies 88 page copies covered with (plastic copy covers)
• 2 junior sum copy book 10mm squares green Ormond copies copies covered with (plastic copy covers)
• Pencil Case
• Topper
• Ruler
• Rubber
• 2 Pencils
• 1 Glue Prit-stick
• Colours, (Crayola Twistables if possible) no markers. Make sure you label all items in your pencil case.
• Always have a spare copy in your bag.

Please ensure all your child’s belongings (including all items in the pencil case) are labelled clearly as well as your child’s school jumper, coat, lunchbox, bottle etc. to prevent loss of property. There will be no sharing of belongings this year. Please ensure your child’s lunchbox and lunch items as well as drinks bottle are easy to open and close.
