Holy Communion 2019
On Saturday, May 18th, 6 children, Lilly, Jessica, Nicky, Aidan, James and Tommy received their First Holy Communion. As always, the children from Derrinacahara N.S. were a credit to their parents, grandparents and their school. On behalf of the children, we would like to say a big Míle Buíochas to Miss Murray, who prepared the children so well. Each child had their own little part to play and they were wonderful. We are all so proud of them. A massive Thank You to Miss O’Driscoll also who prepared our choir. The children sang and played and along with Miss O’Driscoll on keyboard and Paul Harley on guitar, added enormously to the ceremony. Míle buíochas freisin do Fr. Evin who officiated at the ceremony. We also want to compliment Sheila and Jacqui for their help with our Art work for the church. Along with Siobhán’s flowers, the altar was simply beautiful. Comhghairdeas do gach duine a chabhraigh Linn 😊 Back at Derrinacahara the children and their parents were treated to lovely refreshments courtesy of our Parents Association and parents of First Class children.
